Professor Field’s book is laugh anfy loud funny and the I work with social science data and advise students on research methods so I’m always on the lookout for good sources. I still have nightmares about sitting at library computers wanting to scratch my eyes out figuring out SPSS.

Field’s sense of humour but the sequencing of examples and activities is appalling. He adores cats, and loves to listen to and play very heavy music. This book is not yet featured on Listopia. What’s new in the Second Edition? Truly a great book. I’ve referred to it frequently in the past two years of study and will continue to do so. Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read.
Still dont know why they recommend this book for students. You don’t need a sound mathematical knowledge to understand the contents in this book, like other books always did.

This is, however, not present in every chapter of the book and nicely countered by the presence and content of the CD. It is very wdition – using simple and straightforward language for complex statistical concepts.
